Water has been restored to a south Madison neighborhood after a water main break had left some west side residents without water.
Amy Barrilleaux, spokeswoman for the Madison Water Utility, reported that on Saturday morning a large portion of the Arbor Hills neighborhood was without water.
McDivett Road, Ardsley Lane, Todd Drive, and Greenway View were a few of the streets in the area that the utility said were without water.
Barrilleaux said crews reported to the scene to repair a 12-inch transmission main.
Some area businesses were affected by the water outage, including Sergenians Floor Coverings at 2805 W. Beltline. Receptionist Geneva Seeger said employees arrived Saturday morning to find the building without water service, but taps were running again by about 10 a.m.
The Madison Water Utility said workers were able to divert water from another part of the system to the neighborhood and most residents had water restored by about 10:30 a.m.
