Two Janesville residents are facing charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated following a series of events early Friday morning, according to the Janesville Police Department.
Police said one of the incidents happened after a man was bitten by a dog in the parking lot at Tremors Bar in Janesville.
According to police, Brad Flodeen punched the dog’s owner in the face following the incident, then left the scene. A short time later, officers found Flodeen driving an SUV near the corner of North Franklin Street and West Centerway.
Police said officers started to do field sobriety test, but Flodeen refused to continue midway through the tests. Police said the tests already performed showed that Flodeen was intoxicated. Police said Flodeen faces charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, fourth offense, along with other charges, including possession of marijuana.
Just before 2 a.m. police also saw a man leave Quotes Bar on north Main Street whom they recognized as being on supervised release, and therefore not allowed to drink.
Police said officers also saw Angelo Young back into traffic without turning the lights on in his car. Police pulled over Young, conducted field sobriety tests on him, and found his blood alcohol level to be .13.
Police said Young was arrested on operating a vehicle while intoxicated, fifth offense, along with a probation violation.
