The manager of a Madison clothing store was bit in the arm and punched in the face while trying to stop two suspected shoplifters, according to a release from Madison police.
The 28-year-old manager of Burlington Coat Factory at 6905 Odana Rd. told police she was rushed by two women as she stood inside the doors to the store Saturday night. She said she wanted to stop two women from leaving the store without paying for their items.
One of the women bit the manager and punched her in the face before the pair got in a car and sped away.
Police said they believe they’ve identified one of the women, but both remain at large.
