MADISON, Wis. -- Channel 3000 is launching a new text messaging service to offer people a new way to stay connected and be alerted when breaking news happens.
To sign up to receive breaking news text alerts on your cell phone, simply text the word "Breaking" to 87301. Standard text messaging rates apply.
The service allows people to get the breaking news e-mail alerts that Channel 3000 already sends out on their cell phones or mobile device.
To launch the service, Channel 3000 is participating in a ticket voucher giveaway for the Madison Mallards. Starting Thursday morning, the first 250 people to text in and sign up for the program will be awarded vouchers. See complete Mallards voucher giveaway rules below.

Prize: (1) general admission voucher to the Madison Mallards July 12th, 2009, 6:05 game. Prize valued at $7.00. The voucher is only good for the July 12th game at 6:05pm, and must be redeemed at the ticket office for a general admission ticket.
A maximum of (250) vouchers will be awarded to the first 250 people to text in.
Giveaway starts Thursday, July 9th, 2009 and will end when all 250 vouchers are gone.
One entry per person, per mobile phone.
Winners will be immediately notified by text of winning the tickets. Winners will need to pick up the voucher at 7025 Raymond Rd during normal business hours, 8:30a to 5pm. Winners must show text to claim prize. Tickets must be picked up by Friday, July 10th at 5pm.

Prizes may not be substituted and are not refundable or redeemable for cash. Odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries received.

This Contest is open to legal residents of Wisconsin who are 18 years of age or older and who reside in the following counties: Columbia, Dane, Grant, Green, Iowa, Juneau, Lafayette, Marquette, Richland, Rock, Sauk.
