MADISON, Wis. -

The mayor of Sheboygan Falls is back to work after a highway crash that injured him and his wife and killed two others.

Mayor Randy Meyer said Wednesday he doesn't remember much of the crash.

Meyer's wife, Tammy, was driving him back from a motivational presentation when the crash happened April 7. Eighty-one-year-old Suzanne Jackson and 61-year-old Lew Handley, both of Plymouth, died at the scene.

The mayor, who is blind, suffered broken ribs and severe bruising. He underwent emergency surgery about five days after the accident to remove a damaged section of intestine.

He says his wife is still waiting to learn whether her wrist or hand is broken.
