MADISON, Wis. -

Democratic state attorney general candidate Jon Richards has nearly $170,000 cash on hand, while challenger Susan Happ has nearly $121,000 as they vie for the state party nomination.

Richards and Happ reported their fundraising totals Thursday for the first six months of the year. Richards is a state representative from Milwaukee and Happ is the Jefferson County district attorney.

Dane County District Attorney Ismael Ozanne is also running but had not reported his numbers before the Monday deadline.

Richards raised just over $190,000 in the first six months of the year. Happ raised nearly $172,000.

Waukesha County District Attorney Brad Schimel is the only Republican running. He plans to submit his report Monday.

Republican Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen is not seeking a third term.

The primary is Aug. 12.
