MADISON, Wis. -

A Mazomanie man was sentenced this week to nine years in prison and 15 years of supervised release for charges related to a child pornography investigation, according to the Wisconsin Department of Justice.

Prosecutors said Benjamin Minor, 37, had about 200 pornographic images on a hard drive confiscated during the execution of a search warrant at his home. Some of those images included juveniles, according to a criminal complaint.

Minor admitted to sharing images of the girls ages 13 years and older, according to prosecutors.

Minor was indicted in federal court on one count of distributing child pornography, one count of receiving child pornography, one count of attempting to transfer obscene matter to a minor, and one count of possessing an external hard drive containing child pornography. In August he pleaded guilty to one count of distributing child pornography. The three other counts were dismissed at sentencing.
