The presidential spotlight will be focused on the two vice presidential candidates October 11 at Centre College in Danville, Ky.
It will be the first and only chance for Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan to match up with Democratic Vice President Joe Biden.
The two will debate both foreign and domestic topics over 90 minutes, according to the Commission on Presidential Debates.
The format will consist of nine 10-minute segments on each topic. The moderator will ask questions and each candidate will have two minutes to respond. The rest of the time will be used for discussion.
The debate will run from 8 to 9:30 p.m. and will be available live on WISC-TV.
Three other debates will feature the top of the ticket -- President Barack Obama and former Gov. Mitt Romney.
