MADISON, Wis. -

A Middleton teen was in the middle of a spending spree when he was arrested for using credit cards stolen from a health club, according to a release from Madison police.

Two men told police their wallets were stolen while working out at the Princeton Club on the city’s west side Monday.

Police said Levontre D. Scott, 17, assumed the identity of one of the victims when he was questioned by officers at East Towne Mall on Wednesday. Officers said the Scott had the several credit cards belonging to the two men tucked in his socks.

One of the victims said more than $2,000 in fraudulent transactions were charged to his card in two days.

Police said Scott had new electronics, watches and tennis shoes when he was questioned by police.

Scott was arrested on suspicion of resisting/obstructing, forgery, misappropriation of personal identifying materials and two counts of receiving stolen property. Police said more charges are likely.
