Police are looking for help in identifying a man from a surveillance video who may have witnessed a sexual assault in downtown Madison last month.

The Madison Police Department shared two images connected to a the sexual assault of a 22-year-old woman on West Wilson Street. One image is a police sketch of the man who attacked the victim in a parking lot at about 1:45 a.m. Nov. 3.

The second image released Wednesday morning is a surveillance still of a man who police said may have witnessed the assault.

The victim told police she met a man while out socializing. After going to a bar together, the man convinced her to go into a secluded parking lot on West Wilson because the victim was looking for her friend's car. The man sexually assaulted her in the lot, the report said.
