MADISON, Wis. -

Police said a man spit into and jumped on top of a car on Madison's east side last week.

Madison police said two Madison women, a mother and daughter, were in a vehicle on South Fair Oaks Avenue at Atwood Avenue on Sept. 15 at 5:17 p.m. when a man ran toward the vehicle, which was stopped at the light.

According to the report, the man spit through the partially opened window in the face of the 30-year-old woman before jumping on top of the car. He then jumped up and slammed his body on the hood of the car. Then he got up and jumped on the vehicle's roof.

Police said he popped down to the driver's side door, opened it and stared at the 61-year-old woman. She screamed for someone to call police and the man, who didn't speak during the incident, ran away.

Police described the man as white, in his late teens, 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing 130 pounds. He had thick brown hair, was clean-shaven and was wearing an off-white shirt and dark pants.
