Teen charged with carrying concealed weapon, attempted robbery

MADISON, Wis. -

Police said a teen is charged with carrying a loaded gun and armed robbery after he reportedly robbed a man on Madison's north side Friday evening.

The Madison Police Department said Trevongh T. Martin, 18, confronted a man at Kedzie and Myrtle streets at 6:30 p.m. and displayed a revolver.

The victim told police he heard a click as Martin allegedly poked him in the side with the gun and went through his pockets.

Police said officers and a K-9 responding to the report talked with Martin and possible accomplices. A loaded, cocked gun, ammunition and a ski mask were found in Martin's backpack, according to the report.

Martin was arrested on suspicion of attempted armed robbery and carrying a concealed weapon.
