A car crashed into a house and started a fire in the town of Baraboo Tuesday night, according to a release from the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office.

A deputy reported being passed by a speeding 1995 Lexus heading east on State Highway 136 east of Cornfield Road at about 10:30 p.m. The deputy said after the car completed the pass, it lost control on a curve and crashed into a house at E10540 Highway 136. The deputy was not attempting a traffic stop at the time, according to officials.
