A procession Thursday afternoon in Janesville was held to honor Corporal Donald Hendrickson, who was killed in action in 1950 while serving in combat during the Korean War.

The Janesville Police Department said an honor guard will remove his remains from an airplane at Milwaukee's Mitchell International Airport, where family members will be waiting. The procession will head to Janesville and enter the city from Interstate 39/90 and end at Schneider Funeral Home 1800 East Racine Street.

Hendrickson's remains were recently identified and will be laid to rest on Saturday.
