Person found dead in car submerged in Mississippi River
Vehicle tracks found on ice leading to hole in water
One person is dead after being pulled from a car found in the Mississippi River in La Crosse over night.
The four-door car went into the water at Swift Creek, which is located near Second and Norplex streets.
La Crosse police received a call at about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday from a person who found car tracks on the ice leading to a hole in the water.
Police don't believe there were any additional people involved in the incident.
An autopsy on the victim is planned for Thursday.
