WISC EDITORIAL AGENDA 2013 - OUR SCHOOLS - PICKING OUR SUPERINTENDENT
It’s hard to over-emphasize the significance of picking a new superintendent for Madison’s public schools at this point in time. Suffice to say we have to get this right. We were supporters of Dan Nerad and we were unhappy to see him go. But as with every such change, this is an opportunity for new ideas and fresh thinking about running our school district and we’re eager to hear from finalists Dr. Jennifer Cheatham and Dr. Walter Milton.
That chance comes Thursday evening at Monona Terrace. The community forum starts at quarter to six. We hope it’s a great turnout with good, challenging questions. This school district is at a bit of a crossroads and new leadership will go a long way in determining which direction the district will go. We’ll offer some questions of our own in our next editorial.
