MADISON, Wis. -

A two-car accident on Madison’s southwest side Tuesday sent one person to the hospital after he was pinned inside his vehicle following the accident.

The incident happened at the corner of Dorchester and Sandstone around 6:45 a.m. Tuesday.

According to the fire department, a red Prius and a black Honda collided in the accident. The impact sent the Prius into a nearby yard, and left the driver pinned inside.

Fire crews managed to get the victim out of the car. The 30-year-old man was conscious and breathing when he got inside the ambulance.

The fire department was not sure what caused the accident.
