MADISON, Wis. -

Officials are looking for information regarding a dog that bit a woman Friday on Madison’s east side, according to a release.

The Department of Public Health is looking for the dog involved in the incident that happened around 8:15 p.m. at The Malthouse at 2609 East Washington Ave., according to the release.

The dog is described as a Rhodesian ridgeback and was with a dark-haired woman and man with tattoos, according to the release.

Officials ask anyone with information regarding the incident to call police at 608-255-2345 and ask for the animal services officer.

If the animal is not located, the victim may be required to complete a series of painful and costly injections to prevent rabies, according to the release.
