The members of the Dane County Board deal with substantive issues on a regular basis. Just recently, they've dealt with issues like homelessness, energy production, and approving an advisory referendum for the April ballot on the use of marijuana.

Often times, in the form of resolutions, they will congratulate, celebrate and recognize members of the community who leave their mark, including those moments where they honor those who have died.

Fourth, a quick web search finds the Amos Family Funeral Home to be a real entity out of Kansas City, not Arkansas as the email sender purports. Further, it has a pretty clear Spam Alert on its home page as this email was apparently sent nationwide (

Thanks Supervisor Krause for sending this our way.

If you have an email you want to warn your neighbors about, feel free to send it my way: and then, just hit delete.

Have a great day.
