A Catholic high school teacher in Milwaukee convicted of sexually assaulting two male students has been sentenced to four years in prison.
Online court records say Megan C. Garland was sentenced Friday.
The 29-year-old pleaded no contest to charges of child enticement and sexual assault of a student by a school staffer. The former science teacher at Messmer High School faced a maximum prison sentence of 18 years.
She was accused of having sex with a 14-year-old student in a school parking lot, and groping a 15-year-old after he asked her for a ride home.
One victim's mother told the court she worried that counseling wouldn't undo all the damage Garland did to her son.
A message left with Garland's defense attorney, Alex Flynn, was not immediately returned.
