Milwaukee officer shoots, kills knife-wielding man
Man had allegedly threatened family member
A man who was armed with knives is dead after police said he refused officers' orders to drop his weapons and was shot by a Milwaukee officer.
Police said Sunday it's the second time in a week that Milwaukee police had to use deadly force.
The latest incident happened Saturday night, when officers went to a house where a man with two knives was allegedly threatening to kill a family member.
Police fired and killed the suspect, 46-year-old Chris Nowicki.
Nowicki lived with his father, who called police when the two got into a fight.
The father is now grieving over his child's death.
"If he charged at them with his hand up on the knife or something," said Richard Nowicki, "but he stood there with his hands at his sides. Please tell me why you had to shoot him. Well, I got no answer."
Police said they fired when Nowicki ignored police commands and approached them.
Just last Wednesday, Milwaukee police killed a man who was suicidal and refused to drop his weapon.
