MILWAUKEE -

Milwaukee County deputies have responded to more than 100 incidents amid the snow that blanketed the region, including one that resulted in minor injuries to a deputy.

The sheriff's department said the 105 incidents between midnight and 3 p.m. Sunday included 26 crashes in which nobody was hurt, 77 disabled vehicles and two abandoned vehicles.

A deputy was responding to a crash on Interstate 94 around 10:30 a.m. when another car spun out in front of him. He slowed down and activated his flashing lights to warn oncoming traffic, but an SUV slammed into the back of his squad car.

The deputy suffered neck and head pain, and was treated and released from a local hospital. Nobody in the SUV was hurt, but the driver was ticketed for following too closely.
