MADISON, Wis. -

A Madison man was robbed of his phone when he dropped it after being punched in the shoulder, according to a release from Madison police.

The 20-year-old man told police he was walking in the 800 block of South Gammon Road early Monday morning when two men approached him from behind and punched him in the shoulder. The man said the blow caused him to drop his iPhone.

Police said the two men who took the phone got into a waiting vehicle and drove away.

One of the men is described as black, 5 feet 9 to 5 feet 10 inches tall with a thin build and short Afro haircut. He was wearing a white T-shirt. The other man was 6 feet 2 inches tall and wearing dark clothing.
