TOWN OF MONROE, Wis. -

A 23-year-old Argyle man faces charges of inattentive driving after he admitted to being on his phone with a friend when he rear-ended a car in the town of Monroe Wednesday, according to the Green County Sheriff’s Department.

The incident happened at the corner of Wisconsin Highway 81 and Voegli Road around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday.

According to deputies, Christopher James was traveling west on 81 and was on the phone when he rear-ended a car driven by Paul Dammen of Monroe.

Neither driver was hurt,  and both were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

The car driven by James sustained moderate front-end damage and was towed from the scene.
