MADISON, Wis. -

A 22-year-old Madison man was knocked unconscious during a “heated dispute” in downtown Madison, according to a release from police.

Officers said the argument between two groups of men in the 400 block of West Gilman Street happened early Sunday morning.

Witnesses told police the victim was “sucker punched” by one man and kicked in the head when he was down by another man.

The victim was taken to a hospital and diagnose with a concussion.

The man who punched the victim is described as having a lighter complexion, possibly biracial, 6 feet tall, with a medium build, a tattoo on his upper back and a “fade” style haircut. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt over a white T-shirt and saggy blue jeans.
