The Madison man accused of drugging, sexually assaulting and taking pictures of women will spend 15 years in federal prison.
Brian Stowe, 29, was sentenced in federal court Friday morning. Prosecutors said he took sexually explicit pictures of a 17-year-old girl while she was asleep.
The case involving a 17-year-old girl prompted a Madison police investigation that uncovered other alleged victims.
Authorities said police found 53 images and 14 videos depicting the sexual assault of the minor victim when officers searched Stowe's apartment.
At sentencing, Judge Crabb said Stowe was a predator in disguise.
"You would think that a predator would look like a predator, and feel like a predator, but not so," Crabb said. "You are a horrible predator."
Stowe also faced 62 charges at the state level and pleaded guilty to 27 of the charges in December. His sentencing in that case is scheduled for March 14. The federal and state sentences will be served consecutively.
According to the plea deal Stowe took in October in the federal case, he will also be put on supervised release for 20 years after his prison sentence.
