Man deported 11 times caught again
Mexican man arrested on drug trafficking charges in Arizona
A Mexican man deported 11 times for entering the United State illegally was caught once again, this time on suspicion of drug trafficking.
Daniel Jupa-Fino, 21, of Sonora, Mexico, was taken into custody after fighting with the two officers at a truck stop in Eloy, Ariz.
Jupa-Fino was one of two men in a car chased by a Pinal County deputy Tuesday afternoon. The car was traveling west and when the deputy tried to pull it over it crossed into the eastbound lanes before stopping suddenly, Phoenix TV station KPHO reported.
Deputies said two men fled from the car and were chased into a nearby trailer park, where the passenger, 19-year-old Felipe Gonzalez-Tempura, was captured.
Jupa-Fino was found at a nearby gas station and taken into custody after a brief fight, KPHO reported.
Deputies told the TV station they found 220 pounds of marijuana worth more than $165,000 in the car, which was seized by authorities along with the drugs.
Both men are charged with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale and transportation of marijuana.
