Man accused of killing two-year-old son of girlfriend
A Green Bay man has been charged with killing the 2-year-old son of his girlfriend.
Nicholas Willies, 60, is charged with first-degree reckless homicide and child neglect resulting on Friday in the death of Alex Fountain last January.
Police said Willies was babysitting the boy while the boy's mother was working. The boy was taken to an emergency room after he stopped breathing.
Police said hospital staff revived the boy but he later died. An autopsy revealed his death was a homicide.
Willies is accused of punching Fountain in the stomach numerous times, as well as injuring his head. Willies' bond is set at $100,000 cash. He is due back in court May 17.
