JANESVILLE, Wis. -

The man accused of crashing into two motorcyclists and leaving the drivers to die in Janesville last month was in Rock County court Friday.

Sambath Pal, of Park City, Illinois, had an initial appearance at 3 p.m. at the Rock County Courthouse. The 24-year-old appeared in court via video conferencing from the Rock County Jail.

Judge James Daley ordered Pal to be held in Rock County on $200,000 bail. Pal is scheduled to return to court Wednesday at 4 p.m.

Pal faces two felony counts of hit-and-run resulting in death in connection with a crash April 20 that killed 24-year-old Mitchell Vance and 18-year-old Devin Julius. Both died when the motorcycles they were riding were hit.

Pal waived extradition before a judge in Lake County, Illinois, Thursday.
