MADISON, Wis. -

A Madison man was arrested on suspicion of 16 counts of possession of child pornography after the execution of a search warrant at his home, according to the Wisconsin Department of Justice.

Investigators said during Wednesday’s search of a home on Huegel Court, they found numerous video and image files consistent with child pornography on a laptop computer belonging to 24-year-old Kevin E. Thalacker.

Thalacker told investigators he used a peer-to-peer program to search for, download, save and view video and image files of children engaged in sexually-explicit conduct. He told investigators he knew the files were illegal, according to the complaint.

Thalacker is scheduled to appear in court Friday.
