Woman fights off attacker in south side home

Man forces open bathroom door, struggle follows

MADISON, Wis. - A south side Madison woman fought off an intruder Friday in her home.

Madison police said at about 8:50 p.m., a 30-year-old woman was exiting the bathroom in her house when the door was forcibly opened and a man appeared.

According to a report, the woman was able to fight the man off. The victim told police he ran out the back door.

The man was described as white, with a slender build, about 30-40 years old and was wearing a dark blue sweatshirt, police said.

The incident happened at the 2500 block of Greenway View.
