VIDEO: Police look for fountain vandals

WHITEWATER, Wis. - Whitewater police are releasing a video in an effort to find a couple involved in vandalizing a fountain in the city.

Police said the vandalism to the Birge Fountain at 402 West Main Street happened on May 16 at about 2 a.m..

The video shows a woman wearing a light blue or green-colored top and dark shorts with her hair pulled back climbing onto the fountain. She appeared to be trying to steal a spear from the fountain. A man with short hair, dark T-shirt and gray shorts climbed onto the fountain and eventually pulled one of the spears out and ran away.

Both are thought to be in their 20s.
