Suspect in gas station robbery sought

Man left on foot with undisclosed amount of cash

MADISON, Wis. - Madison police are looking for a man who robbed a gas station on Northport Drive early Saturday evening.

Police said a 5-foot, 6-inch heavyset African-American male in his 30s entered the Shell gas station at 1423 Northport Drive just after 6 p.m.

He wore a black coat, black "watchcap," and black mask and brandished a handgun.

The suspect left on foot, taking with him an undisclosed amount of money.

No one was hurt in the robbery.

The suspect remains at large.
