Police look for man who robbed Klinke Cleaners

Man demanded money, had handgun in his waistband, officials say

MADISON, Wis. - Madison police are looking for a man who robbed a Klinke Cleaners and the south side on Tuesday night.

The robber went into the Klinke Cleaners at 939 S. Park St. around 6:40 p.m. asking for a job application, police said. He was told to fill one out online and he left the store.

A short time later, the robber returned with a robbery note demanding money, according to a release.

The robber had a black handgun in his waistband, officials said.

Witnesses told police they saw the robber park an older maroon full-size van nearby before the robbery and leave in the same van after the robbery, according to the release.

The robber is described as a white male in his 20s with a thin build and short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a green hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses and light blue jeans.

Officials ask anyone with information on the incident to call Crime Stoppers at 608-266-6014.
