Police: Armed robbers flee with money from McDonald's

4 robbers entered Sun Prairie restaurant early Sunday morning, officials say

SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. - The Sun Prairie McDonald's at 505 A St. was robbed at gunpoint early Sunday morning, according to a release.

Around 5:50 a.m. officials responded to reports of a robbery in progress at the McDonald's.

The restaurant was open for business when four people walked in and told employees to get down on the floor, police said. The robbers took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene.

According to the release, weapons were seen but no one was injured.
