Man injured when car collides with truck, officials say

Police: Truck driver made unsafe turn in front of car

LANCASTER, Wis. - A Steuben man was injured when he collided with a truck that turned in front of him Monday morning, according to a release.

Justin Abing, 29, of Lancaster, was driving a Fishnick Farms truck northbound on Highway 81 around 7:05 a.m., officials said.

Abing was making a delivery and pulled in front of a Chevy Impala being driven by Shawn Pickett, 42, of Steuben, when he started entering the driveway, according to the release.

Pickett was not able to stop and ran into the back of Abing's truck, officials said. Pickett was transported to Grant Regional Health Center for treatment of his injuries.

Abing was issued a citation for unsafe turning.
