Police: Robber says he has gun, flees with undisclosed amount of money

FITCHBURG, Wis. - Police responded to reports of an armed robbery in Fitchburg Monday night, according to a release.

Police were dispatched to the Papa Murphy's at 2980 Cahill Main a little after 7 p.m. for reports of an armed robbery, officials said.

The robber entered the store, demanded money and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money, according to the release. The robber told Papa Murphy's employees he had a gun, but no weapon was displayed.

The robber is described as a white man in his early to mid-20s. He was wearing a black leather coat over a gray sweatshirt, a black stocking cap or ski mask, blue jeans and black boots.
