Leroy Goldbin, age 71, of Monona, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Agrace HospiceCare.

He was born on Oct. 2, 1941, in Madison, the son of Clarence and Katherine (Eggs) Goldbin. He married Shirley Bade on June 22, 1968.

LeRoy attended Monona Grove High School and in 1961 he joined the U.S. Army serving until 1967. LeRoy began working for the City of Monona until retirement in 2002.

In his spare time he enjoyed gardening, watching the birds in his yard, telling jokes, working with stained glass, and also teaching stained glass at The Vinery.

LeRoy is survived by his wife, Shirley; two children, Christy (William) Clement and Vicki (Tyler) York; two grandsons, Anthony and Ryan; sister, Betty Ormord; and brother, Clarence Goldbin Jr.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ray; and sister, Gloria Elliott.

Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2013. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Friday.
