MADISON, Wis. -

A Madison man was arrested after police found his license plate at the scene of a hit-and-run crash, according to a release.

Police were dispatched to a hit-and-run on Anderson Street near the intersection with Stoughton Road around 8:10 p.m. on Friday, officials said.

The bumper to an SUV with a license plate attached was found at the scene, according to the release. Police used the information associated with the license plate to find Thomas C. Skoyen, 40, at his Memphis Avenue home.

Witnesses told police Skoyen ran a red light and hit another vehicle, according to the release.

Skoyen was arrested on tentative charges of hit and run involving an injury, sixth-offense operating while intoxicated, and he was also cited for violating a traffic signal.
