LA CROSSE, Wis. -

A La Crosse police K-9 has recovered after he was exposed to an opiate during a training exercise, officials said. The dog required Narcan to reverse the affects of the opiate.

Police said the dog was exposed to the drug in training and became lethargic.

Officials administered the anti-opiate Narcan and the dog received veterinarian services. Police said the K-9 was doing fine after the incident.
