Janesville police seek information in man's stabbing
40-year-old tells officers he doesn’t know who stabbed him or where it happened
Despite the victim’s report to police, investigators don’t believe an attack on a Janesville man was a random act.
On Friday at 10:55 a.m., officers from the Janesville Police Department went to Mercy Hospital for a report of a stabbing.
A 40-year-old Janesville man told officers he was stabbed by two unknown assailants at an unknown location. The victim then reportedly transported himself to Mercy Hospital, according to Janesville police.
However, police said officers investigating the attack do not believe it was random as originally reported.
The police department said it has no reason to believe there is any impending danger to the public.
