CROSS PLAINS, Wis. -

Every year, the Make-A-Wish Foundation helps children with life-threatening illnesses or injuries make their dreams come true before it’s too late.

This weekend, they did that for Nova Brown, a girl from Cross Plains.

Brown has been diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, a genetic disorder that is affecting her lungs and stomach.

Nova's wish is to be a rock star, something her family says fits Nova’s personality perfectly.

"Typical 'wish kids' go on a cruise or Disneyland, and I'm going we have the one smart, talented child on earth who wishes for a rock star wish," said stepmother Jennifer Brown.

The Make-A-Wish folks helped Nova premiere her brand new music video entitled "Someday" for a song she co-wrote.

Brown also helped the UW School of Design make her purple sequined dress.

Cystic fibrosis affects nearly 30,000 people each year.
