Head-on crash leads to arrest of suspected drunken driver
Three people pinned in Saturday crash
A crash resulting in three people being pinned in their cars is prompting the arrest of one of the drivers, according to the Rock County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said alcohol was a factor in the crash on U.S. Highway 14 west of the intersection of County Road C in the town of Bradford on Saturday night.
Investigators said a car driven by Scott Moe of Janesville was traveling west on Highway 14 when it veered into the eastbound lane and struck another car head-on. Moe, and the occupants of the other car, William and Michelle Solger of Twin Lakes, were pinned in their cars.
All were taken to a hospital. Moe suffered minor injuries and the Solgers were listed in stable condition but face possible life-threatening injuries, according to deputies.
Moe was arrested on suspicion of causing great bodily harm by intoxicated use of a vehicle and was cited on suspicion of operating left of center and first-offense operating while intoxicated.
Traffic was diverted on Highway 14 for two hours. Walworth County deputies and firefighters from Darien, Clinton and Janesville assisted at the scene.
