MADISON, Wis. -

A gunman spotted outside an east-side service station was likely involved in a drug deal that had not gone well, according to a release from Madison police.

An employee at Seversin’s at 3401 Milwaukee St. called police at 3:46 p.m. on Friday when the gunman was spotted in the parking lot.

The armed man was in a dispute with another man. Both arrived at the scene in separate vehicles.

The men were gone when police arrived.
