A kayaker from was rescued from an island off the Australian coast after being stalked by a giant crocodile for more than two weeks.

Australia's 9news reported that Ryan Blair became trapped on remote Governor Island in Western Australia while exploring the area in his Kayak. Each time Blair tried to paddle back to the mainland, he was stopped by a 20-foot crocodile who was stalking him, preventing him from leaving the island.

"I was scared for my life. I was hard-core praying for God to save me," said Blair.

Blair tried to attract passing aircraft and boats by flashing a mirror and lighting a small fire. He was eventually spotted and rescued by a man who confirmed that the crocodile was one of the biggest he’d seen in the area. "[Blair] is a very lucky man," MacLeod said.
