MADISON, Wis. -

A man arrested Sunday is responsible for the robbery of a gas station in August, according to Madison police.

Police said the gas station at 1434 Northport Drive was robbed early in the morning of Aug. 19. A man entered the store and demanded money from the clerk. The man implied he had a weapon, but no weapon was seen, police said. An undisclosed amount of money was taken.

An officer watching a parking lot in the 800 block of Troy Drive Sunday afternoon spotted the suspect from the August robber, called for backup and apprehended the man without incident.

Hozia D. Newell, 30, of Madison, was arrested on suspicion of armed robbery and intimidating a victim.
