A fire at the Minhas Craft Brewery in Monroe should not impact operations or beer production, officials said.
The Monroe Fire Department responded to Minhas Craft Brewery at 1208 14th Ave. just before 2:30 Thursday afternoon, according to a release.
Officials were hearing reports of fire and flames coming from the third floor of the building, according to the release.
Everyone in the building was safely evacuated, according to the release.
A contractor was doing some work on an office space when insulation started on fire, officials said. The fire is currently under control.
One firefighter was taken by ambulance from the scene but the extent of their injuries is unknown.
Officials ask everyone to stay out of the area, as it is in a very congested location with a number of streets closed off due to the fire.
Minhas Brewery is the second oldest breweries in the United States, and has been in Monroe for more than 160 years, according to the release. The amount of damage to the building is not known.
