Felony charges filed in explosives raid
More than 1,000 explosives found
Felony charges have been filed against a Germantown man after more than 1,000 handmade explosives were found in a relative's home.
Federal agents, the Wisconsin National Guard and Milwaukee County bomb squad members removed the explosives from the basement of the residence Wednesday.
A criminal complaint charges 33-year-old Bodie Witzlib with four counts of possessing improvised explosives. A $25,000 cash bond was set in Washington County Circuit Court Thursday. The complaint says Witzlib told investigators he had started a fireworks business. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported Witzlib did not have a federal license to manufacture explosives.
Witzlib could be sentenced to a maximum 24 years in prison if he's convicted of the four felonies.
