A father and son were injured and the father was arrested after a rollover crash injured both of them, according to the Rock County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called to County Road H just north of State Highway 11 in the town of Center at 3:40 a.m. Monday for a report of a single-vehicle rollover crash.

Deputies said they found a car sitting upright in a farm field about 40 yards east of County Road H and the driver and his son waiting by the side of the road.

Investigators said Johnny Webb, 37, of Orangeville, Ill., was traveling north on County Road H at about 70 mph with his 13-year-old son when he crested a large hill and went airborne. The car flipped end over end about three times and came to rest in the field, according to deputies.

Both were transported to Mercy Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Webb told deputies he was drinking before the crash said he was on his way to the Rock County Sheriff’s Office to pick up his oldest son who had been released from jail. Deputies said alcohol and speed were contributing factors in the crash.

Webb was arrested on suspicion of operating while intoxicated injury with a passenger under the age of 16, second-offense OWI with a passenger under the age of 16 and speeding.
