An employee of a bowling alley and entertainment center was knocked unconscious in a confrontation with unruly patrons, according to a release from Madison police.

Officers were called to Schwoegler's Entertainment Center at 444 Grand Canyon Drive at 1:40 a.m. on Sunday for a report of a disturbance.

Employees told police a woman threw a ketchup bottle at another woman, prompting a 38-year-old employee to ask the woman who threw the bottle to leave. A man in the group hit the employee.

Another employee came to help and was struck and knocked to the ground.
The group fled. The employee who was knocked to the ground said he didn’t remember being struck.

The attacker is described as black, 6 feet tall with hair in dreadlocks. He was wearing a blue vest over a light-colored T-shirt and light-colored pants.
